 Quick Easy Bread

2 cups hottest tap water
2 TBS. Sugar
2TBS. Yeast
Let sit 10 minutes
Add 3 cups flour, stir 100 times 50 times 1 way, 50 times the other way
Add 2 cups flour,  6 TBS oil and 1 Tsp. Salt
Stir till stiff
Knead 10 minutes
Divide into two balls, shape into loaf form
Place into oiled loaf pans.
Let rise 30 minutes or until risen just above edge of pan.
Bake in 400 degree oven 25-30 minutes unil medium brown on top. And makes hollow sound when tapped on top.
Cool 5 minutes in pan, remove, and cool on rack.
Bag them or they will dry out.


You can shape into anything:

French loaf: do not divide into 2 loaves, leave as one loaf, shape into french bread shape, place on oiled cookie sheet, let rise 30 minutes bake 20-30 minutes.

Buns: roll whole dough ball into a "snake" divide into 12 equal portions. Roll into balls, place 5 balls around, and 1 in the middle of oiled cake pan, rise 30 minutes, bake 15-20 minutes


Cinnamon Buns: roll dough into large rectangle about 1/4 inch thick, slather with butter or margarine, cover with brown sugar and cinnamon. sprinkle on raisins or nuts if desired.
Roll into jelly roll, and slice into 12 equal portions.
Melt 1/2 cup butter and 1/2 cup brown sugar and 2 tsp cinnamon in pan, pour into 13X9 pan, place cut buns equally apart into pan, spiral facing up. Let rise 30 minutes, or till double in size. Bake 20-30 minutes. Let cool 5 minutes, and FLIP onto tray (cookie sheet, or serving plate larger than pan) NOTE: If you do not do this, buns will stick in pan when sugar cools!!


Focassia Bread:
divide dough into 2 equal portions.
Shape into flattened balls.
Oil cookie sheet, sprinkle on any combination of rosemary, thyme, basil, garlic powder, oregano onto cookie sheet. place dough balls on top. Let rise 30 minutes. Bake 20-25 minutes. Let rest 5 minutes, then FLIP bread over onto cooling rack to cool. Dip in mixture of olive oil and balsamic vinegar, YUMMY!

ANYTHING BREAD RELATED CAN BE BAKED WITH THIS RECIPE! EXPERIMENT!
